Introduction
Dear professional users of wireless microphones.
In Europe the frequency spectrum allocation plan is currently moving.
Major drivers are digitized terrestrian television and new upcoming
wireless services like Cell Phone TV or WLAN.
Unfortunately the frequency planning groups are not knowledgeable about the needs for wireless microphones (e.g. number of channels in use, required spectrum resource and more). Therefore AKG Acoustics GmbH, Beyerdynamic GmbH & Co. KG, Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG und SHURE have founded a common technical working group to ensure that professional wireless microphone users will be heard in current and future European frequency planning groups.
We would like to ask your for your help and assistance. We need your expertise on professional wireless microphone applications. Please use this form to describe the different applications professional wireless microphones are used in, now and in the future.
We are collecting the information and consolidating them into a technical
document, which will be generated within ETSI (European Standardisation
Institute). This document called "SRDoc Professional wireless microphones"
will describe current and future needs for professional wireless applications
and will be provided to the European frequency authority group called
CEPT. This work will be coordinated by ETSI ERM TG 17/WP3.
Your input is highly requested and the only chance to influence frequency
allocation planning!
